Learn English in Manchester

Many people in the UK struggle to find work because of their lack of English. When they do find work, a feeling of isolation may set in, because the nature of the job you have had to accept may not include human communication: you may be a cleaner, a builder or even still work in your native language. Finding a well-paid job with which you are able to bring up a family and be successful is important, but not as important as being able to live a ‘normal’ day-to-day life.

It’s not only the language which is studied during English as an Additional Language classes, but also culture. The importance of cultures should never be lost, but celebrated. Learning English should not be about being told you must eat at 1pm and 5:30pm, with fish and chips on a Friday and Sunday roast on a Sunday, but making non-speakers aware of this, and even sharing cultures and combining these.

Learning English can unite communities. There’s no worse a feeling than being surrounded by a group of people who are communicating in a language which is not one you understand. This can be tackled and embraced via these sessions, and we hope to attract a great range of natives from all over the world to share their stories and learn together. Be a part of it!
